I imagine the band had an argument in the studio about that, much like the argument they had over how avant-garde autumnsong is (on no manifesto maybe?).

Gavin Fitzjohn plays some keyboard on the album, co-produced and contributed backing vocals to Hold Me Like a Heaven and engineered a few of the demos. He featured heavily in The One Show’s making of HMLAH segment.
I’d guess he’s going on the tour as a multi-instrumentalist. |

That One Show performance seemed rather flat to me and was much shorter than the actual song which I KNEW would happen, and why did they have a THIRD guitarist??? Still, it's a bit of exposure for them which helps.

Yeah and it's nice to know the history in the songs, the dedication to poets and the melancholia. I really like all the tracks, the music, lyrics and elements from the early albums. In track 4. Vivian - the guitar sounds a bit like Slash 'n Burn and Crucifix kiss, in track 7 and I think James sounds like David Bowie at the end of In Eternity. I really love the album and the tracks of the songs which sound better each time.

I’ve got an old episode of River Cottage on the Good Food channel and Everything Must Go was used whilst Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall got his hair cut. How random

Has anyone got a link to them appearing on Sunday Brunch on Youtube please?
I'm at work, so can't just go on Freeview or whatever.

It is worth a watch. I thought it was sooo awkward. Jimbo kept pulling Wire over beside him ha!
Noticeable lack of mention of the No.2 album.... (Plus Sting and Shaggy? Jesus) |

Later on they referred to how many no.2 albums they’d had. Are you saying you weren’t paying atention for every second of a three-hour TV show?! ![]() Saw a great gag on twitter from someone (can’t remember who, sorry whoever you are if you read this) saying they are now waiting for the Shaggy / Manics collaboration... Manics: “WHO’S RESPONSIBLE?” Shaggy “It wasn’t me”

This was amazing viewing. I love Nicky's jacket and sunglasses, their conversation, Nicky's mention of Richey and the oyster story. It was good to see them on that programme. They spoke quite a bit about RIF and good that James said it isn't going to be the last album.
