Nicky Wire guest vocals on The Fanclub new album

http://uk.ihouseu.com/the-fanclub---...horror-part-2/

Greg Haver produces.

A little bit about their influences (Morrissey and the Manics) and wanting to work with Greg Haver because of his work with the Manics on their MySpace

What did The Fanclub do to deserve that?

Listening to them they're a really good band though. So Smiths it hurts.

The best Tracey!

Perhaps this is Nicky's new plan, he hates them so much he's going to destroy their career from the outset.

That said, wow, A Real Horror is really Smiths-esque.

Talking of the Smiths, a work related blog thingy was entitled 'Every Day Is Like Monday!'

I wish these guys well, they'll need it!

I think they sound pretty good. If it does goes all Pete Tong, there's always The Smiths tribute act circuit to keep them warm at night.

Probably showing my age here, but anyone else think it was Teenage Fanclub? Course I should have that would never have happened cos they would have come to blows over who did the best Take The Skinheads Bowling before they could record anything!

Poor name. With the existence of Teenage Fanclub why would you go for that? Music is ok but pretty generic, I don't think I'll be subscribing to *ahem* The Fanclub anytime soon when I've still got all my Smiths and Morrissey records. I can always dig out some Gene if I want a poor imitation.
