68. Ocean Rain - my favourite Bunnymen song, covered beautifully by Nicky.
69. The cheap thrill I get when Nicky mentions Belfast in Casual/Glam - I know it's sad, but I take my thrills where I can! 70. The fact that the opening of The Shining Path reminds me of the Crossroads theme!

30 short of sucess. I thought this meant that the album would be shit, but I listened to it for the first time today, and thought it was actually quite good. I even like a couple of the songs on it. Good work, Wire.

Yeah, how did we stop at 71? This album must have hundreds of reasons why it rules. I love it.

Okay, well I guess that brings us up to 73 reasons, at least. I'm going to put 74 in as the musical simplicity of the album, which makes it easy to play along with it more or less the whole way through, entirely by ear. I like being able to play along with records, and although it's satisfyingly challenging to work out the chords to things like This Joke Sport Severed, it can be rather laborious. Nicky's stuff's cool, you just hit play, look at the fretboad and think about where the first note's going to be, and it all just falls into place from there.
