You can just imagine James walking around Cardiff feeling all good with himself seeing that cover then catching his eye on the title and swearing the place out over the Muzak and Christmas Eve shopping?

On the plus side this could bring a lot more people learning guitar to the Manics? And I'd love to be there when the newbies hear the Manics have material that isn't as simple?
Now that Oasis are dead I can see the sense in using an image of a current band who have been successful (Bless the publishers for remembering the late 90's!) to keep the guitar interesting for beginners. I'm glad they've used the Manics for this and not some Noughties "NNG-NNG-NNG-NNNG-NNNNNNG" guitar twat who wears it halfway under his neck so their gob would be all over the cover?

I'm going to buy this! I've only got a four string bass so I'm going to make it harder for myself to play the "Really Easy Guitar Riffs". I can already do Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) anyway so I hope that ones in the book?
Fuck it! I can even do James's "Sleepflower" riff on the bass? (although warn me in advance if you are planning a suprise visit to me to hear my prove this?-Thanks)
Any details of the riffs used? "Seven Nation Army" (I'll skip that page thanks!) will probably be in there? I notice the 60's mentioned?
Is "Day Tripper" an easier riff than "Paperback Writer"? (EDIT: Yes it is, just checked)
Anybody want to hazard a guess what the "Really Easy Guitar Riffs" book has chosen for the nu-metal one? Bet you it's that Mission Impossible Limp Bizkit rip off?
Did they even write that riff anyway or do you think Linkin Park will get there with "Crawlin'"?

Really great find Bought In!

I saw this years ago in Virgin, I believe it covers either Found that Soul (pretty simple and the solo is good practice for bends) or Motrocycle Emptiness (which I doubt, too many fiddly bits).

The picture itself is used quite often, I think it's from the bizarre festival.

Good point, there's more skill in making an amazing solo than being able to play it, the guitar solo in Intravenous Agnostic is actually fairly easy to master but would have been very hard to come up with.
