Didnt nicky write marlon JD as well? That was one of my faves from JFPL!

I dont understand the dislike for its not war at all, its nothing exceptional but its far from a bad song...

The songwriting process is obviously more collaborative than it used to be, which isn't a bad thing. The only problem is that having the Wire sing a bunch of songs always seems to be the done thing now!

He needs to stick to singing b-sides (preferably those on the 7" version of the single....)

The question is - should Wire, who is good but not great at writing melodies, have one of his songs released as the first single off the album?

Like you say, it's an average song. Surely they've got better stuff on the album?

I would say Bobby Untitled, Stab Yr Heart, You Will Always Be My Home, (Nicky Wire's) Last, The Shining Path, Break My Heart Slowly, Dying Breeds, and William's Last Words are all great melodies. So I don't see an issue with one of his songs being released as the first single.
