A bit late on this one but... Was just wondering if these gigs were the first time Wire has ever sang lead vocal in a normal gig? I.e. not including the JFPL gigs

Sang Wattsville Blues around 2001 I believe.

James did say something to the effect of, 'That's the first time that's happened in the history of Manic Street Preachers'. With no one else onstage, that's probably a first.

Yeah, he did Watsville Blues, but with full band. This is his first solo solo.

To the gentleman who said hello at breakfast at Ramada Jarvis hotel next morning(along with his Mrs)-hello again and apologies for my deep shyness which i hope you didnt take for rudeness

We also spoke after Cambridge gig and i was very horse of throat due to me singing my wee butt off
