everyone starts somewhere if you can, try and order the "10th Anniversary Edition" of it from the UK; the DVD has an excellent set of documentaries, interviews and performances on it.

Thanks starstruck and Gutless. Yup, I'll definitely try to get the 10th anniversary edition, and thank you too for the reminder that the best place to ask around if I can't get it will be this forum! I've been thinking about what I would do if the record store can't get the Manics stuff I want, haha. ^^;

I voted for 'Quickly following up JFPL with PFAYM', but would almost have gone for 'Releasing Generation Terrorists' if it was there. Releasing GT doesn't bother me as much as i wasn't into them back then, but the fact that they followed up a brilliantly thought-out album with a rushed piece of MOR is one of the biggest insults the band have given us. I'd rather they had waited another few years and given us something unique like with Lifeblood after KYE.

They've only been doing that since 2007, which is when the great band i knew from 1994-2004 came to a halt for me. Since then, apart from JFPL (perhaps out of respect for Richey in some weird way?) they've sounded really desperate. Every album they recorded in the 10 years between 1994 and 2004 were about trying new things and not caring about what people thought. The rest have all been shameless PR pieces.

I'd like to think after the break, they go back to not caring again. Bring the true Manics back.

Postcards box, Complete Shambles box on the evidence we have seen - yes.

Postcards deluxe 2CD - "maybe"

THB 10th anniversary, EMG 10th anniversary, JFPL deluxe 2CD - absolutely not, those three sets are as excellent as they are essential.

i have bought the last 4 mentioned there - if i may comment on myself; overpaid no, gullible maybe, twat oh yes.

you're only a twat if you go into debt to pay for something you can't afford and blaming the band for releasing it

...and sweeping, ill-informed generalisations are used exclusively by arseholes.
