IT tour or O2?

Were the gigs of the International Treasures tour really better than O2? Could it be because the venues were smaller and they felt more connected to the fans, hence more motivated? I wasn't at 02, so it's a question for all of you who were at both places.

I think they are two different things so it would be impossible to say which one was better.Personally I enjoyed more the IT for several reasons, among the others certainly the small venue, but the O2 was a great experience which I'll never forget.

The 02 was magnificent, as bad a venue as it is the sound was exceptional in there that night. Personally the gig i saw in Vienna didn't beat it, despite it being in a much smaller venue the sound was nowhere near as good. Also they didn't play So Why So Sad or LSE in Vienna.

I can't decide really, they were both standout gigs for different reasons. The O2 was fantastic because all of the singles were played (however reluctantly) and it felt like a special occasion because of the scale of it. But the Europe gigs were really fun and they were in small venues so it felt a bit more personal. Plus the band seemed to enjoy themselves and I think they were surprised at how good those gigs were.

I found them both great. I did enjoy the O2 gig for the huge setlist, nice venue and weekend away (I'm from Europe).

I enjoyed the IT gigs for the small intimate venues in Europa. It felt as a luxury to be able to see the band 3 times in one week.

It's hard to decide because - for me - it's two different things.

The O2 was my first real Manics concert and I've never been so excited about a concert before. Planning the whole trip to London made it feel like it was a big deal and a very special occasion - all my friends were like "whaat, you go by plane just to see a band??" which added to the whole impression of a one-off opportunity. Besides that the scale of the concert was just imposing.

I relly enjoyed the small venues in Europe and I felt a special connection to the band. The barriers were so close to the stage and the latter quite narrow (especially at the Munich gig) - I was so unbelievably close to them which was a great feeling They took their time for autographs, pictures and chatting afterwards...so lovely!

Still, the best moment of all recent concerts was at the O2 when they played Faster and Revol - I almost suffocated because I screamed my head off and jumped like a lunatic plus the crowd was insane too and very jostling. But all that added to an unforgettable evening.

Musically, both the IT and O2 were ace. You were able to see and feel they still have a lot of passion for being in a band.
