Didn't they give it away free? One of the coolest things they did.

Yeah, as an apology for a gig cancellation, IIRC. They gave out physical copies during the replacement concert and shared the mp3s for free online. Great gesture, but obviously their limited nature now makes it a pain to get if you weren't present at the gig.

Some idiots paid for the gig just for the CD.

On an entirely seperate note, best Manics gig I ever went to.

You could also just put your info in online and they'd send you a copy. Quite generous.

Yeah, I just sent a S.A.E in the post and got sent one for free; I didn't go to the gig they handed them out at. They were limited, but can't remember how many there were.

Also, I'd agree with the comments earlier in the thread about the gap between The Holy Bible's original release and its anniversary edition seeming waaay longer than the time since Lifeblood was released. I'm not sure if that's because I was very young in the early 90's and wasn't a fan of the band until 2002 though. I can barely believe the early 2000's were at least a decade ago already. Time flies!

I think that was me who made that comment, I think its because I was busy having babies in the 90's so lost all track of time and mind!

Ah yeah, I had forgotten that. I think it had some sort of "UK residents only" deal though... or at least I hope it did because I never ordered a copy and will now forever beat myself for the missed opportunity if it did.

Still, yeah, am amazingly generous and an overall great thing to do from them.
