Unfortunately, I couldn't find any more on Youtube. Maybe they're hiding in some other obscure corners of the internet.

So, getting midis from that site, for experiment I used a converter to modify 4st7lb and the result is uploaded here.

Sounds like our RPG heroes are wandering in a dungeon.

Yep, I love these I had posted some to the manics_lolz Livejournal community awhile back and had suggested the following for the MIDI forms if used for old-school RPG music:
"Motorcycle Emptiness" - opening theme
"Another Invented Disease" - enemy battle music
"She is Suffering" - gloomy town theme
"Mausoleum" - dungeons
"Further Away" - traveling the landscape
"Life Becoming a Landslide" - coming against obstacles / montage
"The Intense Humming of Evil" - final boss music
"No Surface All Feeling" - ending credits

If any of you find any other Manics' songs in 8-bit versions, please, share them here.
Sounds like the stealth sonic orchestra have had a baby

Feed a Manics MIDI into this and see what happens.

GXSCC is a quite unique MIDI player to support MID/SMF/RCP formats. It doesn't depend on sound devices, plays with emulating SCC sound chip which once had been embraced as an external module for Konami's MSX cartridges like Nemesis II. It follows that all MIDI songs are changed to chiptunes!

You shall find a whole lot of Japanese RPG-ish songs for various moments in the game if you do that.

I used one of the MIDI files to kick off an instrumental cover of A Song For Departure:

Porco - Departure

DL http://www.sendspace.com/file/4tw85b

Not exactly 8-bit but heavy on the synths.
