I have the same problem with Ocean Spray, to be honest. Knowing what it's about, I feel a bit guilty for disliking it because of the lyrics, but I just can't help it. Maybe I prefer lyrics whose meaning is not quite clear right away, not as direct. I do understand though that many people like those songs BECAUSE the lyrics are simple, thus more honest/from the heart, and quite charming in their naivety.

I don't see how robeson is bad english, and james wrote ocean spray
