hmm. I have that.

and that is just a cut, actually slaughtered version of the single. not the remix. maybe i linked the wrong japanese promo. the youtube video is 4 mins. i will check it out again exactly

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the upload. I thought the "2003 version" was the one that opens Forever Delayed. Shorter ending part (bad), way better master (very good). Very faithful to the original, just punchy sounding and sparkling. More of an edit plus remaster than a "new version."

But yeah, this is a totally new thing. It's even shorter than the FD version. And there's a dubious theremin part. I won't be playing it to friends saying: "check out Motorcycle Emptiness by the manics" but it's interesting they did this. I do also detect SATT philosophy in there, in the daytimey strings. Still, it's a great song and I like hearing any version of it.

I'm just kinda amazed I hadn't heard it before (I like to thing I've heard EVERYTHING by the manics). They really buried this.

Note: I don't own any of these releases to confirm this.
