I got the CD in the post today. Nice mention in the liner notes for Die Laughing:

The drums on these re-recordings instantly render them all inferior. Fyfe Ewing was integral to their sound.

this sounds really interesting. mixing those two bands sounds would have made for very interesting albums on both sides…

Things got messy and broke down during the recording of 'infernal love' if i recall correctly and could never be fixed.

If I remember correctly, according to Andy Fyfe didn't know if he wanted to continue as a drummer or to be a DJ or sth.
Oh, and for the record, that new rendition of Die Laughing with JDB on it is god awful, I hate that modern sterile sound. |
