A better link...
https://whatismusic.buzzsprout.com/ I would also add that the reason people are more onboard with this reissue is because we all know the original album is not the vision they had for it due to record company meddling so it's due a reassessment. Rather than, say, the stalinesque revisionism of other anniversary editions.

Expanding - And flowed, flowered for him, fluid neon origami trick, the unfolding of his distanceless home, his country, transparent 3D chessboard extending to infinity. Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America, and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach. And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face. |

I imagine it's also the fact that this revisionism is so radical in nature that you can't help but consider it more deeply, rather than the near-random, slapdashingly executed nature of the SATT and TIMTTMY changes. Speaking for myself anyway.

That too. It feels like they've put the work in to make something new and interesting with the original material. Not sure which of their other albums they could do this with to this extent.

Generation Terrorist needs this treatment badly and some live drums to boot.

Anyway, is the remastering noticeable in those cases?

I'm listening to it right now. It sounds very bad, for me it's the worst Manics album just because of the sounds.
