I'm going to have to delete the old date on my calendar sharpish. Two more weeks.
Next Saturday gig aftermath isn't it? |

I remember back on the second Rewind the Film tour (when they played bits and pieces of Futurology) a mate messaged me after he'd seen them on one of the earliest dates saying what a great show starter Faster was.
What did I get when I saw them later on the tour as an opener? Show Me the Wonder! Don't get me wrong, I like it as a song but it's not what a show should start with. What a weird tour that was where they changed between Faster, La Tristesse, Show Me the Wonder, Tolerate, A Design for Life and Motorcycle Emptiness as opener.

It was always there on the album version of the song. It is a sample, not JAmes.

Faster is a good set opener, definitely. I also thought Sleepflower, Empty Souls, Strip It Down and Slash 'n' Burn worked really well as openers. You Stole the Sun in a way too, gets it over and done with.
![]() Show Me the Wonder and The Everlasting didn't really work as openers for me. Undecided about No Surface All Feeling and La Tristesse Durera. |

ME is a great song but it's frustratingly long, literally takes the space of two songs in the setlist due to its length. I wouldn't be sorry to never hear it again personally. I've heard it so many times.

I just watched the band playing in Japan from a few weeks ago, this was good video and solid performance, but I was somewhat shocked at Sean, his appearance now with his long white beard and he's sure put on weight big time

Motorcycle Emptiness followed by International Blue would be my all-time opener and follow up. Really looking forward to seeing them in Wolverhampton. |

On Resistance is Futile tour they opened with International Blue then Motorcycle Emptiness, so it could happen the other way. I also love the bluer skies version of International Blue and would be nice if they include an acoustic and instrumental again, which could be on Critical Thinking.
