I think Johatsu is a really lovely song, though I don't have an idea how it would go from vinyl to mp3. The vinyl single sounds amazing and I think this song is also indirecly about Richey, as it's about disappearing

The lyrics are a bit to define though can anyone correct them?
this is what I hear..

Inside a quiet shopping arcade
Dreams are real which not really made
They fade away
A tradition evading to hide
against settlements for the dead who don't die.

I want you to know that I'm not a ghost yet
The company man looks so desolate
The mass appeals with? inspite of turned debt
I want you to know that I'm not a ghost yet

As sunlight falls over a broken life
A wreck of constellations of cities, so hostile
Got a degree in the bible back then
All expositions/ex possessions in a carrier bag, of despair

I want you to know that I'm not a ghost yet
The company man who looks so desolate
The mass appeals?with in spite of turned debt.
I want you to know that I'm not a ghost yet
I am not a ghost yet

(4 ever delayed/ lifeblood sound music)

Chorus
I want you to know that I'm not a ghost yet

I'm not a ghost yet
Not a ghost yet
Not a ghost yet
music

Given the fact that they've released a lyric video for every song on the album, it would be nice if the next single was a proper digital EP so that we can get these two tracks in a digital format, maybe with a remix or two. Probably won't happen though.

I'd fucking love a compilation of all the Japanese bonus tracks one day.

Yeah I have the same problem. ordered the full bundle and the tracks are on vinyl so nothing to play them on at the minute! I suppose they could have added insult to injury and just included them on the cassette as well to take the piss

No popcorn folks, sorry.

Let the Light Return

Let the light return
Let it shine, let it burn
Let it be, let it hurt
Let the light return

And with the coming of the night
I will be by your side
I will raise you a smile
I will bring back the light

It’s not easy
Nothing you said could ever change
It’s not easy
(It’s not easy *is it? / easy?*)

It’s not easy
Nothing you say will be the same
It’s not easy
To change

Let the light return
Let it shine, let it burn
Let it be, let it hurt
Let the light return

And with the coming of the night
I will be by your side
I will raise you a smile
I will bring back the light

It’s not easy
Nothing you say has been disclosed
It’s not easy
(It’s not easy, is it?)

It’s not easy
All that I know remains untold
It’s not easy
To show

Let the light return
Let it shine, let it burn
Let it be, let it hurt
Let the light return

And with the coming of the night
I will be by your side
I will raise you a smile
I will bring back the light

~

This is what I reckon (not far off what you had):

A tradition of needing to hide
Outcast settlements for the dead
Who don’t die

I really didn't want to share especially after some of the recent comments (some of you are decent) and have no idea if this works but here you go. I can't be bothered to rip the demos. Critical Thinking b-sides

Omg that's just what James is singing. Brilliant Porco!

Did Nicky write both songs? Thanks

Thank you for sharing, don't be a ghost you hear!

Edit:

Let the Light Return: Maybe on the low end of Nicky b-sides. Just plods along until Nick trips over the synth from Dying Breeds. Definitely no 'It's so easy' that's for sure.

Johatsu: This feels like a Futurology b-side to me. While acknowledging the FD/L connections, the bleakness of the lyric is reminiscent of something like The Sound of Detachment.
