Launch of VisionBlurred - Manics Links Directory: Help Wanted!
VISIONBLURRED is a project I've just started as a directory of Manic Street Preachers links (and a separate list for The Horrors, too!), including site types such as: official sites, info + fan sites, forums, groups, photo and fan art galleries, text articles and interviews, videos, 'definitive' lists on which the bands appear, and general discography/review links. Since there are already plenty of info- and pic-packed, audio-visual sites out there, that happen to all be scattered across the web, and some of the best are available only as archived versions, and I thought I could fill a gap by providing a directory to get to the goods. You can submit sites by commenting on the main page of the site or posting here. I'm also looking for any photos taken by fans of the band to add to an extras gallery, and fan art to spruce up the site's design - you will be credited for your contributions! You'll also notice that there is a chatroom, intended as a meeting-place for anyone who wants to use it (though, of course preferably fans of either or both bands!). Weekly chat time is Saturdays at 10 PM GMT. Any feedback on this would be lovely! @Deets: Thanks for that, I hadn't seen that site before (or some of the pics in the gallery)! I'm adding it right now. @Takk: Yeah, Moonfruit sites are primarily flash-based, which has its positives (looking cool) and negatives (taking somewhat longer than other sites)...I thought that might be a tricky issue, so I have a my original draft with clickable links available as a Google Doc: http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0Ae...N6cDhkcg&hl=en This was my original draft, and won't be updated as frequently as the main site, but does load faster! @oxygen: ahaha, yeah, I thought that myself  I just felt the urge to stick something there. Hopefully I'll be able to wrangle some other art and photos out of people to put in a gallery widget or something! Oddly enough, almost the whole site design scheme is from a default template called 'Battery' on there, though I might change something with the color/patterns over time.

This is really cool.
There is a Russian forum at www.leopardsluts.org you might want to add. Also, just one point- is possible to make the links open in new tabs instead of new windows? I get confused easily

Looks great but took about 45 seconds to load for me in FF. I'm on a netbook so that may have slowed things a bit.

Thanks everyone for checking it out! I've added 30+ more links just now...I think the loading time will really vary for everyone depending on the connection-type, it seems to just take a few seconds for me, but I'm using a cable modem and Firefox appears to take to it better than IE. @MrsCarbohydrate: Thanks for the link! I added it and you've been credited. I'll see about the links starting in new windows, it might be an IE thing, since they open in tabs instead in Firefox- I'll see what I can do.
