What would you love to see on the new album?

I've been thinking about this for a while now and wondered what other people would love to see on the new album when it is released. The working title is interesting and got me thinking.

I'd love the Manics to write a totally amazing (and unconventional) lovesong that was a huge hit and surprised everyone. I know they said they'd never write a lovesong but I think thay could do a brilliant job and I'd like to see some new directions being taken with some of the tracks.

I'd also like some more James lyrics as this could give a different feel to the album. Maybe some James and Nicky lyrics.

Lady Gaga guesting on a track.

I also realise there's a much higher chance of appearing on it myself

Something poppy, but I doubt I'll get it, given the recent LB comment. Also, more James lyrics.

I want something noisy, chaotic and unpredictable. But not too long thanks.

Songs that make the band have mental breakdowns over not being able to slag off a year later.

Yeah that would be nice. An album that they (and the fans) actually like for more than 5 minutes.

Something a bit heavy. Lots of riffs and general fret wanking.

I agree with the bit about that band actually liking the album for longer than 10 mins. And Sean lyrics would be brilliant.

That never even occurred to me. Sean lyrics would definitely be interesting.

I can't really see them slagging off JFPL and did they ever slag off SATT cos I don't remember them doing so? I think they only slag off the ones they aren't happy with in retrospect. Like you never really see them slagging off THB or EMG either.

I can see this being an almost reaction against JFPL so much more poppy - though probably a warm SATT pop rather than a cold Lifeblood pop. I dunno what I'm hoping for really beyond them not bottling it and it being good. Hopefully Wire will write some more tunes as I'd say for me he's written/co-written the best tune on both the last albums. Maybe keep the singing for backing vocals, one liners and b sides though unless the right tune comes up.

Another JFPL. But without Nicky's songs... No repetitions of lyrics in verses! Great riffs and vocals like during HB era. B-sides like during GATS era. Commercional success like during EMG/TIMTTMY era. James's weight like during GT era.
