As JDB says your first gig is your first love so for me it was the Dublin Show 23rd June 1999 on the This Is My Truth.

This was before my internets career and on the bus journey down my mate wouldnt shut up about PCP whilst I was loving Prologue at that point. And they played both - brilliant. And my other mate fainted at the front, the big wuss.

··· Ah just saw your poll title

The bootlegs I enjoy most since 2000 are from the PPF tour.

I saw them for the first time on the Greatest Hits tour which was amazing. I remember being ridiculously excited. They also played 'Life Becoming A Landslide' which I still feel hugely fortunate to have heard that live.

I think the best overall tour had to be the P/P/F tour. I wish I could have gotten to more than one gig on that tour...

PPF some brilliant setlists on that tour, quite cathartic after the limpness of the Lifeblood jig

Um, I voted for "other" which was the US tour as I've only seen one.

Lifeblood was strange indeed. Its prob my 4th fav album and the songs didnt work live.

They were still in the "we are a multimillion selling band" mentality at this stage. I think if they had of done a kind of Journal type low key promo and intimate tour it would have come across alot better.

JFPL, full stop, the first half I mean, seeing them in 3 pieces playing the best album of 00's in its entirety... brilliant

SATT Winter was when I went to my first Manics gig (Brighton) and it was utterly ace and everything but the JFPL tour was better cause I went to the gigs with awesome people and made new friends.

Wow. Yeah, I just missed out on that tour. I was doing foundation in Bangor at the time and I remember my friend getting tickets for Llandudno but I didn't have the money. Also my proper love for them didn't emerge until that summer really.

First time was EMG which was my first gig for anyone but I'm not sure I'm quite with James on that being the best.

If we're just looking noughties though then probably PPF but with the US JFPL a very close second (because after a couple of iffy UK tours it was amazing to go see them and it just be fun again, a total reminder of why you do it in the first place).

since 2000 I have seen them on Know Your Enemy Tour, Greatest Hits, SATT Winter tour and Journal For Plague Lovers - and Journal was the best.
