JDB's Guitar Solo Sound - For those who have heard the *cough* 30 second clips.
For those who have heard the *cough* 30 second clips of the album "Postcards".. does anybody have an idea of how JDB was getting his guitar solo tone?
It sounded like he had some sort of octave pedal or effects processing on some note solos, or that he was playing through a Diezel voiced amp. He did some really inventive solos this time out, IMO.

cant say whats what for sure but its well documented that he uses pretty much anything but his live rig in the studio. he'll more than likely use a different guitar/amp for each track/take of each song to get the desired sound.
given the 'queen' references that have been floating around i wouldn't be surprised if he's double tracking solo's in two octaves to achieve the sound you mentioned and/or he's twiddling with the treble boosters he has on his live board (of which im sure he has many).

We are still waiting on this section, it's gonna be badass. But while you wait perhaps you would care to peruse the lyrics for 'Underdogs' and 'Your Love Is Not Enough', from the album 'Send Away The Tigers'. |
