National Treasures : count the remastering glitches

Just listening to this for the first time on headphones and it sounds amazing.. BUT! Noticed a few technical glitches..

Motown Junk - Very first bit of "revolution" sample seems to skip slightly
Stay Beautiful - Volume towards the end jumps louder

Hope this is it.. If I hear anymore I'll edit this post..

**EDIT** I'm up to Slash N' Burn now & everything's sounding perfect! *phew*

i am pretty sure that the last milisecond of Motown Junk forms the first milisecond of Stay Beautiful on National Treasures.

You're right, the "revolution" sample does skip. The volume increase in Stay Beautiful I also hear (17 seconds before the end of the song) Really noticeable on headphones.

Apart from that the remastering is very good IMO.

Oh...and did anyone else notice how the 'that's all you need' lines in Slash n Burn, really stick out in the mix? Maybe I'm nit-picking a little.....

What have you got to say about THAT, Sean Moore?

On a personal note, I doubt I was ever going to listen to this release again, so there's little point in me caring any more than the band and their record company do. But how embarrassing. Those who've been worrying about it staying in the charts might want to start hoping it sinks without trace now.

Oddly enough, the only song I ever listened to more than once was Stay Beautiful because its remastering is more dynamic than everything else. A little too dynamic towards the end, apparently. I hadn't noticed, if I'm being honest. The only thing I did pick up on was how weedy You Love Us sounds after SB and LSE.

There might be flaws on the second disc but will anyone manage to pay close enough attention?

This isn't a glitch but it sounds like james' vocals in the last chorus of skon have been re-recorded to match the way he sang it live. Ie: "some kind of nothi-i-ngness" with the emphasis on and extension of the 'thing' syllable in 'nothingness'.

I don't remember it sounding like that on the album. But I haven't listened to it in ages.

Also, I hope my attempts at describing the change are understood by someone.
