Japanese and other non uk singles

What singles have been released overseas which differ from uk?

Nobody Loved You and Further Away are two recently mentioned on here.

Anymore?

Sleepflower had a promo in the USA but wasn't actually a single as such.

I was thinking the other day, why haven't they released any singles in Japan since YSTSFMH (or FD e.p. if that counts)?

Are they less commercial in Japan or do western bands tend not to release singles there in general anymore?

Yeah, I don't get it either. I don't collect any bands like I do Manics, christ I'd be doomed if I did.. You know if anyone else has stopped releasing Japanese singles over the same period? Maybe Radiohead or Muse, I dunno.

Also weird that Lifeblood, Send Away The Tigers and Postcards From A Young Man all have more studio b-sides than the rest of em, too. The Japanese are so spoilt anyway, they've had loads tracks that haven't had an official physical UK release too. Japanese fans just been having to download b-sides for the last few albums, till those reissues came out?

As I spent very little over the Christmas period, I treated myself to ordering and sending away for the Japanese edition of "Lifeblood". The 18 tracks on disc two wooed me too much. I've yet to listen to the tracks. I'm waiting for the right time. I was a bit disappointed with the extra photos that came with the package. Just more photos of the red blood/body image on the white background. I also wouldn't mind getting a copy of the Japanese edition of "Send Away The Tigers".

I think the days of bands having special Japanese releases are numbered, if not already.

There are also a number of singles that were released in the UK but which were released with an alternative tracklisting elsewhere. My European copies of So Why So Sad and the TBTGOG singles differ from the standard UK ones (the SWSS one also has the live track off the UK cassette single, while the four b-sides on the TBTGOG singles have been divided onto the singles differently).

Only four, if we're talking about the Manics (The Lifeblood and JFPL bonus tracks).

Ah, I meant CD release, should've said. Then you get a couple of Japanese live tracks, Tennessee (I Get Low), few Roses remixes, cassette b-sides from Everything Must Go and This Is My Truth, Fear Of Motion, Little Trolls, God Save The Manics EP seeing as it was a bit of a botched giveaway rather than release and you were never able to pick it up in a shop, Lifeblood and Journal ones, a couple on Nicky's album and half the second disc of the Send Away The Tigers reissue. Yeah, they do well.

Also, love the acoustic So Why So Sad that for some reason was recorded in Denmark and only released on the Australian Ocean Spray. Not totally sure why an Australian Ocean Spray exists but whatever.

Is it an Austrailian version of Ocean Spray that's different to the original or something?

It's got an acoustic So Why So Sad on it that you can't get anywhere else, weirdly enough. I love it though, treat yourself http://www.discogs.com/buy/CD/Manic-...Spray/58193534

Think it was a session for a Danish radio station or summat. It's nice though.

Can't be bothered to dig out the single but I remember it was recorded some 2 months before the SWSS single was released. January when the single was released in March I think.

I know it's not a CD but Everything Live was released in DVD in Japan too.
