British & Irish Lions tour 2013
Speaking to the lads in 2010 out here in Oz they were pretty definitive that they'd be out here for the Lions tour (June 2013).
"Not sure if we'll do some shows, but we'll definitely be out there". Anyone know if those plans still hold? What's more, any of your lot heading down? |

And when they ( the band) do come down, skip over the Tasman for some proper rugby. And play some gigs please.

Shouldn't this thread be elsewhere?
Anyone else absolutely staggered beyond belief by Gatland's team selection? |

Not really, Warburton's easily the best choice as captain, Wilkinson ruled himself out though could make injury replacement, though surprised only two 10's and no Hook or Robshaw

That might sound like I'm sticking up for the English. However, England's weakest Six Nations aspect - the scrum - seems to nevertheless have resulted in Youngs, Hartley, Vanipola and Cole all getting in. Probably 1 or 2 of them was necessary, but would have been nice to have seen Gatland rise above all this don't pick players from France crap and gone with Sheridan and Armitage instead (steamrollered all the Heineken Cup competition so far), or failing that Rory Best. Would like to have seen Zebo also, and the inclusion of Lydiate - who's hardly played in a year - I'm afraid suggests Gatland is favouring his chummy chum chums. Very disappointing, even though I completely agree there should be more Welsh players in there than the other nations. Very anxious now of another defeat. |

Happy for the fans out there. Have they been out there since 1999? Other than festivals?

Manic Street Preachers have fixed up a series of shows down under to allow them to watch Rugby down between their gigs. Scheduled shows Australia and New Zealand around the fixtures. Said "As massive rugby fans the chance to visit one of our fave countries, to play some gigs and watch British Lions play in Australia is an amazing once in a life time opportunity "
