Generation Terrorists
Okay, we all know the story: sell 16 million copies and then split up. Neither of those things happened and the Manics, twenty years on, are still very much with us. Yay!
But, I was wondering, how well has GT sold now? Has it, after all these years, yet reached the magical sixteen mil mark? |

I did a quick search and found out that GT sold around 250,000 copies worldwide on its initial release but after the band's success at the Brits in 96, GT sold an extra 110,000 copies worldwide. Couldn't find any information on how many units have been shifted overall though.

...And if we consider the anniversary edition from about last year....

Still nowhere near 16m? Ah well. They should begin a countdown, or something. Have a big party for when the 16 millionth copy gets finally sold.

Hopefully by then the Nobel Prize will be awarded to a sticker campaigner against album artwork censorship in supermarkets
