The Inherit Drama of Anthem For A Lost Cause
I'm playing Call of Duty - Black Ops II on multiplayer with AFALC playing in the background and everytime I saw another player shot and slump to the ground it somehow seemed really apt.
If it's not made a single I'd love to see Patrick get a massive budget and do his own video for it. Maybe have a Blackadder Goes Forth scene of soliders going over the top just to be mown down.

Whenever I hear this song I see a 'big band' style video, with the band in tuxes and a synchronised swaying brass section behind them. I discussed it on Twitter with Shug a few weeks ago and she agreed, so it's not just me

That's not a Call of Duty soundtrack. This is a Call of Duty soundtrack.

I never got past shooting the guy going "Shoot the target! Shoot the target!" in the game. You didn't even see him die! It just popped up a message saying "Friendly Fire Will Not Be Tolerated".
As for the song, I see it more as a late Christmas party near the end. But different strokes for different folks! |

I always imagine Jeff Lynne singing it with his shades and big hair! Should've been a duet with Jeff!

It's a suicide song for me, in that it's dreary as they come. Maybe for when you run into the middle of your fellow CoDites holding a grenade.

Running Out Of Fantasy is for that moment when you dashboard out of the game with the knowledge that the lobby was too strong. You blame it on lag but you know you had a four-bar connection.

Anyone got any idea what the song is actually about? My first thought was that is was a lament on the death of the art of songwriting but the words 'take this-it's yours' and the idea that composition rights are no longer such a glittering prize makes me think that maybe it's about people downloading stuff without paying. Dunno what that Paris and St Petersberg is all about though.
