Manics Film Question

The band have mentioned the book/film 'Woman in the Dunes' in the past and are currently referencing it on their background screen on the EMG tour. I'm just wondering if anybody knows the source of where they first mentioned it? I recall it being as far back as 2009 when JFPL was released, and it's featured on this link also: https://letterboxd.com/tsires/list/m...achers-movies/

They've used it as a back projection occasionally since the mid '90s while they've played "Small Black Flowers..."
