Journal for Plague Lovers Survivor
Been looking forward to this one for a while... which ones are your favourite?
I'm very aware of how shit the B-sides survivor is (it's the Japanese bonus tracks - an instrumental and a cover version) so I was thinking that the remixes should be included too. You all voted against that, however. This survivor has now ended; the winner was Peeled Apples. Album: 14. William's Last Words 37%, 13 votes 13. She Bathed Herself in a Bath of Bleach 26%, 5 votes 12. Journal for Plague Lovers 28%, 5 votes 11. Pretension/Repulsion 25%, 5 votes 10. Marlon J.D. 29%, 5 votes 9. Doors Closing Slowly 27%, 6 votes 8. Me and Stephen Hawking 24%, 5 votes 7. This Joke Sport Severed 28%, 9 votes 6. Facing Page: Top Left 38%, 8 votes 5. Virginia State Epileptic Colony 52%, 13 votes 4. All is Vanity 33%, 8 votes 3. Bag Lady 53%, 9 votes 2. Jackie Collins Existential Question Time 60%, 18 votes 1. PEELED APPLES 40%, 12 votes B-sides: 2. Alien Orders/Invisible Armies 56%, 10 votes 1. PRIMITIVE PAINTERS 44%, 8 votes

Never really heard the remixed enough to have an opinion to be honest, but if everyone else has, then it's cool

Not sure about remixes but Vision Blurred should be!

I’m afraid that “William’s Last Words” gets my vote; not a bad song but it’s the only track on JFPL that feels totally out of place for me. I’ve long since edited the record so that “Bag Lady” is the final song.

I haven't listened to the record in a while. It is one of my favourite Manics periods. Great album and great gigs too. I think "She Bathed herself..." is probably one of the weakest.

This is going to be difficult, JFPL is very much an album I listen to as a whole album. Going to have to think careful!

I think I'm just going to have to ignore this one, I'll get too over excited and end up saying things to people that I will regret.

Yep, I usually avoid these but curiosity got the better of me. Seeing William's Last Words being voted down was enough for me to confirm I should definitely excuse myself as I am only going to annoyed!

This game is going to be more heartbreaking and argumentative since The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go polls!
So obviously I'm in it for the long haul. If you don't vote, don't complain as the saying goes. (And yeah, William's Last Words over She Bathed In A Bath Of Bleach?!!) |

William's Last Words is really tired, it'd love to go to sleep and wake up happy.
Primitive Painters emerged victorious on the B-sides, and judging by your vote the remixes will not be included. https://www.strawpoll.me/15629408

She Bathed Herself in a Bath of Bleach thought burnt skin would please her lover.

The title track, surely? Well, it is for me anyway whereas bathed is a sublime track.
